Student of the Nine Weeks: Kennedi Lynn

An avid softball player and stellar student, Kennedi Lynn was awarded the student of the second nine weeks for the freshmen class.

Softball is the focal point in her life and it is what motivates her to perform her best in school. She is also a proud member of the National Honor Society.  “I really just want to stay eligible for softball and maintain my spot in NHS,” says Kennedy.

During school hours, you can find her in Mr. Heath’s classroom fixing computers as a valued member of the STAT team. Mr. Heath says, “Kennedi has spearheaded a recent effort to get caught up on fixing Chromebooks. She has gone above and beyond in helping the technology department eliminate our backlog of broken Chromebooks.”

Her strongest trait as a student is time management. With a busy schedule, she gets her schoolwork done whenever or wherever she can, whether that be in study halls or at home. She is also an active participant on Shenango’s bocce team, which she enjoys a lot.

Kennedi’s favorite teacher this year is Mrs. Sherry, who teaches her favorite class, biology. She is intrigued by the study of all life and Mrs. Sherry is an excellent teacher, which makes her more interested. “Kennedi is a very solid student who is always willing to help her classmates,” noted Mrs. Sherry.

“Kennedi is very organized and is a great collaborator in Honors English,” Mrs. Allen added.

Her mom is her role model because of her kindness and hard work. This work ethic is what will drive Kennedi to meet her goal of achieving honor roll the entire year.

As Kennedi learned in elementary school, the Wildcat Way is being kind, safe, and respectful. She has taken these lessons with her during her time at the high school. Aide Mrs. Daugherty affirmed, “She is kind and eager to help anyone she can. She is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Wildcat.”
